About Me
My name is Laurie Price. I grew up in and taught in Michigan, moved to California in 2000, where I proceeded to start my tutoring business. I was fortunate to be involved with many families in San Diego who put the education of their sons and daughters as a top priority. I earned a reputation for being one of the top tutors in the San Diego area and had the opportunity to work for members of several sports teams and children of professional athletes. In September 2016, my husband and 2 kids made the move back to Michigan, and are loving it!
Whether you need guidance with a minor educational obstacle, are tired of the struggle during homework time, or have reached a point of despair — I’m your go-to source for any educational needs. At Teachers As Tutors, the best interests of my clients are my first priority, and I go above and beyond to make sure they get the results they need.

Founded in 2000, I was looking to utilize my teaching degree in a new way. Having taught in a variety of classrooms, I wanted to use my skills and love of education to help individual students reach any and all educational goals.
I am a certified teacher in four states and work with students of all ages and abilities. I am currently the head instructor, and the people I hire are also certified qualified teachers, hence the name-Teachers As Tutors.
At Teachers As Tutors, we try to help make life less complicated by offering a variety of settings to meet. With the uncertainty of the Pandemic, the school landscape is constantly changing and we can accommodate accordingly.
